Children never forget a well-written song and Kath Bee has many. Since 2002, Kiwi kids have been singing her songs, ‘Individuality’, ‘Dad I Wanna Be A Camel’, ‘Seasons’, ‘Dragons Under My Bed’ and many more.
After completing the Nelson Centre for Musical Arts Contemporary Music Course in 2000 (then called the Nelson School of Music), Kath wrote her first children’s song for a children’s Christmas Concert. Her second children’s song ‘Individuality’ was accepted onto the 2002 Kiwi Kidsongs CD, produced by The Learning Media Ltd. Her next 2 songs ‘Dad I wanna be a Camel’ and ‘Seasons’ were accepted onto the 2003 Kiwi Kidsongs CD. ‘Individuality’ and ‘Dad I wanna be a Camel’ are 2 of the most popular songs sung in schools nationwide and further afield, since then. They stand the test of time and continue to be extremely popular today.
