Rainbow Rosalind

Rainbow Rosalind the Fairy is an award-winning Children’s Singer/Songwriter & Entertainer based in Dunedin, NZ. Her unique performing style creates a show which is a high-energy, all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza!

Best known for her album ‘Kia Ora!’, Rainbow Rosalind’s music is enjoyed in cars, kindergartens, schools and the homes of families all around the world.

You may know Rainbow Rosalind from her music video ‘Aotearoa, Home of our Hearts’, which was named the APRA What Now Best Music Video of 2016 at the New Zealand Children’s Music Awards.

In 2017, Rainbow Rosalind was the recipient of the SOUNZ Community Commission award, for which she created the show ‘ Rainbow Rosalind Meets the Orchestra ‘, which debuted last year with the Dunedin Youth Orchestra in the Dunedin Town Hall to a sold-out audience of 2000 excited kids and adults. This work was created to introduce children to the world of classical music in an educational, yet fun and accessible way.

Rainbow Rosalind not only performs for kids, but she also appeals to the grown-ups, making for a special family occasion. “I like to unlock the inner-child within adults and set them flying free. Life can get too serious and people often forget where to find the magic.” By the end of Rainbow Rosalind’s live shows, she has all the children AND adults up on their feet, singing and dancing along without a care in the world! “THAT’s when the magic happens”, she says.

As well as touring NZ and overseas, Rainbow Rosalind regularly performs her live show “Rainbow Rosalind & the Fairies” throughout the country with her fairy friends at festivals, family events, libraries, schools, and even children’s birthday parties! Some highlights include: Kids Music in the Park (Auckland), Whoa Studios Variety Show (Auckland), Queenstown Winter Festival, Whare Flat Folk Festical, Plunket’s Big Day Out (Forsyth Barr Stadium), The Baby & Child Show, The Home & Living Show, Christmas on the Domain, Christmas in the Stadium, as well as television appearances on The Cafe and Suzy & Friends with Suzy Cato. In Rainbow Rosalind’s latest project, she appears as ‘Rozzie’, in a brand new TV series, ‘Code Fun’, airing on tv2, TVNZ and Hei Hei later this year (2020), teaching kids about coding and robotics with her animated sidekick Digi the Robot. As well as being the presenter, Rainbow Rosalind is also producing the music for the show.
